Votive candles come individually wrapped to keep in the fragrance in until you are ready to use them. The fragrance will last all the way through burning, unlike cheaper votive candles. These candles last up to 15 hours when placed in a candle holder. Experiment with them too, with the votives you can layer complimentary scents to create a greater ambiance. Votive candles do require an external candle holder.
